The Sony a9 is a professional level mirrorless camera that competes with the likes of the Canon EOS 1DX Mark II and Nikon D5 for spec-sheet bragging rights.

We've put the Sony a9 through its paces in two real-life scenarios - firstly at QLeisure Karting track where we tested how the a9 coped with fast moving objects coming towards it at high speed, as well as the AF tracking handled following the karts around the circuit. Then we visited Burgess Hill Golf Club where PGA Professional golfer Ryan Fitzgerald demonstrated his 150mph golf swing and we tested the Sony a9's 20fps continuous shooting, as well as 100fps Slow-Motion in S&Q mode.
